First Place Brackets
4v4 Team Challenge Rules
4v4 team pickleball: two teams of four play four doubles games. First team to win 3 games wins the match.
1. Build a team of 4
Each side needs exactly 4 registered players, listed as:
- Player 1
- Player 2
- Player 3
- Player 4
Tip: Order matters. The system uses Player 1–4 to build the four game pairings automatically.
2. The four games
A match has up to four regulation games (and sometimes a tiebreaker). Pairings are automatic:
| # | Game | Who plays |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Game 1 | Player 1 & Player 2 |
| 2 | Game 2 | Player 3 & Player 4 |
| 3 | Game 3 | Player 1 & Player 3 |
| 4 | Game 4 | Player 2 & Player 4 |
| 5* | DreamBreaker (DB) | Only if the match is tied 2–2 |
3. How you win
- Each game is one win for a team (game scores are tracked, but games wins decide the match).
- First team to 3 game wins wins the match.
- If the four games finish 2–2, play a DreamBreaker to decide the winner.
4. Easy scoring examples
Example A — Clear win (no DreamBreaker)
- Game 1: Team Blue wins
- Game 2: Team Blue wins
- Game 3: Team Red wins
- Game 4: Team Blue wins
Match score: Blue 3 – Red 1. Blue wins. Done.
Example B — Tied after four games
- Game 1: Team Blue
- Game 2: Team Red
- Game 3: Team Blue
- Game 4: Team Red
Match is 2–2 → play DreamBreaker. Winner of DreamBreaker wins the match 3–2.
Example C — Could end early
If one team already has 3 game wins after three games (for example Blue wins Games 1, 2, and 3), Blue has already won the match. Game 4 is optional for fun, but Blue already clinched.
5. How challenges work on this site
- Post a challenge with your 4-player roster.
- Another captain accepts with their 4-player roster.
- Both captains mark Ready when their teams are set.
- When the match is live, enter scores for each game.
- The opposing captain confirms the result. Career stats update after confirmation.
6. Quick court checklist
- Agree on game scoring before you start (for example to 11, win by 2).
- Write down WD / MD / MX1 / MX2 winners as you go.
- If it’s 2–2, play DreamBreaker.
- One captain enters scores in the app; the other confirms.
